About Us

What is PCAP?

Climate change poses systemic risks to economies and societies, demanding rapid action to transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient markets. Climate action that delivers good jobs, expanded access to clean energy, cleaner air and water, improved public health, and a prosperous economy for all is now an urgent imperative for financial markets.

The People-Centered Climate Action in Private Markets (PCAP) initiative equips private capital investors and stakeholders with practical tools to advance a just transition that respects human rights and leaves no one behind.

How We Work

PCAP convenes General Partners (GPs), Limited Partners (LPs), and civil society organizations to co-develop insights, resources, and shared learning that strengthen people-centered climate action across private markets.

As the Secretariat, BSR coordinates the delivery of PCAP's strategic objectives and vision, supports alignment of priorities and approaches to people-centered climate action in private capital markets, and promotes multi-engagement.
